Fall colors turning in Telluride

September 23
With this week's cold nights, aspens and oaks have suddenly begun to turn.  The Coonskin pattern under lift 8 on the Telluride Ski Mountain has more or less completely turned, a signal that the rest will soon follow.  The east side of Dallas Divide is well on its way, along with isolated patches of bright yellow trees throughout the Telluride high country.  We predict that the colors will peak right around October 1st, so if you are coming to town over the next two weeks, you're in for a treat!  Book a photo tour with guide Ryan Bonneau -- make the most of your visit during this special time of the year.  Telluride Outside is also a sponsor of the annual Telluride Photography Festival, which takes place next week.
