Q: What are the age/weight requirements?

5 years and 30 lbs. Minimum weight for Coast Guard approved PFD is 30 lbs

Q: Does TO provide wetsuits?

Yes, upon special request. Most guests do not wear them.

Q: What do we need to bring/wear?

Sun protective, fast-drying clothes. Please bring a fleece layer for your upper body because we are paddling at almost 10,000 feet! A hat and sunglasses (on retainers!) are also recommended.

Welcome to paddle boarding! Telluride Outside's instructional SUP tours are a blast for the whole family. Our tour includes instruction, safety tips and a really nice paddle on one of our beautiful local alpine lakes. We provide door-to-door transportation and all required equipment for SUP tours.

What’s a typical itinerary?

After picking you up at your lodge, we will drive approximately 20 minutes to Trout Lake. After a brief orientation, we’ll shove off on our paddle boards. Your guide will offer instruction catered to your experience level, followed by a paddle around one of the prettiest lakes in Colorado. Around noon, we’ll return to the boat ramp, load the SUPs and return by vehicle to your lodge.
